Hi all,

So, we come to the end of another season, hope you have all enjoyed shooting as much as I have.

I have attached the Final Results for the year, there was a change to Augusts as I lost one set of returned scores, sorry.

So, its congratulations Noak Hill A for winning Division one, initially tied with RTAC so I had to use the total scores submitted, but a close-run thing, this is why it’s important to submit scores even for bye months.

Next, were Division 2 winners, congratulations to Priory B again another tie this time with Ardleigh A

So, it was total score again, and another close result.

Well done to everyone submitting scores and I think this is the first year when every team entered won at least one match, so good to see the scores slowing improving, keep it up everyone.

If the winning clubs get in touch, I will arrange a time and date to get your trophy presented.

I will finish with my usual, if anyone has any ideas on how we can improve the league, I am open to ideas, also if anyone feels that can take it on I won’t be offended, I just want to see the league continue and flourish.

So, I hope to see more of you around the county at other shoots.

If you see me, come up and say hi. It’s always nice to put faces to scores.

On Sunday Essex & Suffolk travelled to Andover to compete in a mixed team event.

The teams were:

Michael Judd & Laila Al-Minyawi (Recurve)

Tony Gedalovitch & Liz Miles (Barebow)

Phill Dunn & Deb Horn (Compound)

Hari Shukla & Katie Bowden (Under 18's Recurve)

The weather was extremely warm, there was a few nerves but the shooting throughout was incredible.  They all shot a 720 and head to heads with a couple of archers never having experienced head to heads before let alone shoot offs.  Everyone managed to keep calm and dealt with everything as it come very well.  The results were huge including PB's for Liz and Laila for their first outdoor competition for county and the following medals received:

Liz & Tony - Barebow Silver

Katie & Hari - Under 18's Recurve Silver

Deb & Phill - Compound Bronze

Michael & Laila got into their bronze match but just missed out on a bronze medal by minimal points however put in a very strong performance

On a personal note well done to all of you, I am extremely proud of how you represented your county and thank you for making the journey to do it
