The draft minutes of the ECAA Meeting held in January have been published on the Governance -> Meetings page.

As Debs says

Please find attached the minutes from the latest county meeting, held last Wednesday.

I have also attached the updated county calendar. Please note that there are some important date changes. These will also be on the county website. Please check carefully.

The biggest date change is the County AGM. This will now be held online on SUNDAY 20th FEBRUARY. Booking will be through Eventbrite, and details will be on the county website.

A reminder that both the AGM and all county meetings are open to any member of the county, and it would be great to see lots of you there.

Also, nominations are welcome from both clubs and members for county posts and for trophies. Nomination forms are available on the website.

The Events in Essex and Suffolk page has been getting a bit out of date with the Official ECAA County Claendar spreadsheet which is discussed at the County Meetings.

I have updated the page to read directly from the spreadsheet and included a PDF view of this along with a link to download the actual working copy complete with links to pages and Entry Forms.

It can be found on the Shooting -> Events page

What do people think? Is it useable and do you understand it? Can it be made better?

Let me know your thoughts

It is with sadness to announce that John Farrant sadly passed away in the evening Tuesday 4th January at the age of 93 after a recent fall at his home last month when he fractured his shoulder and was admitted to hospital.

Unfortunately, he suffered an infection and then caught Covid whilst in hospital that resulted in his passing.

John will always be fondly remembered by all of us at Abbey Bowmen as the longest serving member of the club, (almost 40 years), and was shooting right up to the age of 90 when the attached photos were taken. Archery GB also posted an article about John as possibly one of the oldest active archers in Essex at that time.

I have now got confirmation of John Farrant's funeral

1.20pm on Tuesday 8th February at South Essex Crematorium. (delay is due to backlog at this time of year)

Refreshments afterward at the Huntsman & Hounds. Ockendon Road, Upminster RM14 2DN

Regards
