Deb (ECAA Secretary) took part in an online meeting today (30/04/2020) with other reps from SCAS and GWAA and some of the staff members from AGB.

The majority of the discussion was around reps asking questions which AGB will need to go away and answer at a later date, but there are a few points which I would like to share with you today.

These include:-

  • Funding from SportEngland for clubs to over losses
  • Range Registration Renewal Extensions
  • AGB Improve Your Game and Learning Curve for Archers

Graham Hill from West Essex has been in touch to say that his garage was broken into last night and his archery kit stolen.

Please can you keep an eye on Ebay, Facebook selling sites etc for the following kit.

" The main items were a blue W&W CXT riser, Uukha 1000 34lb 68” limbs, blue W&W stabilisers, Shibuya sight, EASTON ACE670 arrows, Easton Quiver."

Please be aware that Abbey Bowmen are postponing their Abbey Open shoot on 24th May and that they will hopefully be able to reschedule it on Sunday 20th September in place of their Longbow/Barebow shoot.

We hope by then that the current situation has passed but we will review again later this year should shooting bans not be lifted by then.

A copy of our entry form with revised date for placement is available on the website on the Tournaments & Records -> Events in Essex and Suffolk page

I will notify those archers that have already sent entry forms of the revised date.

Dear all,

It is with regret that the ECAA Exec have sanctioned the following steps.

All county meetings suspended until further notice – County Exec will action items as required.

All leagues for the 2020 outdoor season are cancelled;

  • League Secretaries will liaise with clubs and County Treasurer for refunds to clubs.
  • Once we are in a better position to plan, revised leagues will be enacted where possible.

ECAA Target Champs 2020 – Postponed – a revised date is being looked into.

Further updates will be published in due course

Please look after yourselves and stay safe.

Please put a note that the County Championships has been postponed until further notice.

If those people that have already entered would like their fees returned or would like to me to keep them until we have full confirmation on whether we continue or cancel the competition please let me know.

The final League Table for the ECAA Andy Harris League have been published on the Tournaments & Records->Leagues->Andy Harris League page.

Not perfect as two clubs in Divisions 1 and 2 will have shot an extra match as their Bye was due in March.

Likewise, the Individual scores.

I am sure you can appreciate that this is out of my control and sadly the League has had to finish early.

You will also find the lists of Gents, Ladies, Boys, Girls Individual scores as mentioned above, also the scores of each team match.

These lists are purely for interest, hopefully they are correct but, if not, please accept my apologies - I do try my best!!

Thank you once again for your participation in the Andy Harris League and, hopefully, we will meet again!
