Daisy Clark takes Bronze medal at Europa Cup

Just to let you know that Daisy is currently out in Cyprus with the GB Team at the Europa Cup.  She is shooting the new compound 50 m round at an 80cm face.  In qualification her six dozen total was 672, the third highest recorded in international competition this year.  This placed her second after the qualifying round.  She then went into the olympic round, seeded second, winning her matches until the semi-final.  On the way she equalled the european record of 144 out of 150.  In the semi-final she came up against GB team mate Aalin George and in a close and tense match where the lead changed hands twice.  Aalin pipped her at the post and Daisy went through to the bronze medal match.  Up against a Mexican who scored 90 out of 90 with the first nine arrows Daisy had an up hill battle and finally succumbed to fourth place.

Her qualification score put her through to the compound cadet mixed team, along with team mate Jordan Mitchell from Northern Ireland.  These were the two highest scoring male and female cadets  The pair were ranked fifth and battled through the head to heads and took the bronze medal, beating Mexico in the bronze medal match.  We think this is a fantastic achievement.
