This is just to introduce myself to you all, to try to explain what a members representative does and the various ways that you can contact me.
My name is Mick Pearce, I have been involved in archery for 15 plus years, first as an active recurve and compound archer then more latterly as a County Judge, Indoor FITA Organiser and part time, very bad, longbow archer. (All help gratefully received!!)
Most archers in Essex will know me as I seem, along with my partner in crime Graham Sibley, to manage to attend most of the tournaments in Essex.
I was fortunate enough at the County AGM in February to be appointed as the Members Representative for Essex County Archery Association.
As members rep I am YOUR representative on the Executive of the County Association and it is my job to bring to the attention of the County any issues that you wish raised and anything that you are unhappy with about the way archery is run in Essex.
I will always bring up anything that I am asked too regardless of my own personal opinions and I will ensure that you always get a reply, I cannot always guarantee that it is what you wish to hear but you will hear it.
I am easily contactable either by Telephone in the Evenings or weekend on 01375 847621, if I am out leave a message and I will call you back.
By E-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org or personally when ever you see me, usually judging a tournament somewhere.
Or as a last resort you can write to me at 36 Albany Road, Tilbury, Essex, RM18 7BF.
I hope the above has helped to explain my role in Essex archery and I look forward to hearing from you soon and please remember I am always more than pleased to put forward good news stories or achievements by Essex archers for inclusion in the minutes of county meetings.
Please also try to come along to the county meetings and see for yourselves how things are done, these are held on the 1st Tuesday of every alternate month.
Next meeting Tuesday May 6th 2008.
