Lynne Burton to represent GB at Paralympic Games

May I on behalf of E.C.A.A congratulate Lynne Burton on her selection for the team that is competing at this years Beijing Paralympics, having been originally told that she was not part of the team she has now been officially told that, health issues allowing, she will defiantly be going to the Paralympics.

I was fortunate enough to speak to Lynne at the weekend and despite still being an inpatient (they let her out at the weekend for practice, despite suffering very badly from Jaundice) she has been told that the hospital will try everything in their power to ensure that she is fit enough to travel.

Any of you who have met Lynne know that despite her disabilities she always has a kind word and ready smile for any one who talks to her and is always willing to offer advice to archers, able bodied or not.

I know that this is the culmination of many years of training and sacrifices and may I, on behalf of the county and personally, wish her the very best of luck at Beijing and hopefully she will bring back a medal to Essex.
